Kick Start My Heart
Sometimes I think this job attracts adrenaline junkies, because honestly, you'd just about have to be one to survive days like this. Fortunately I am, and it's a good thing because I still have hours of work to go tonight.
What did my day look like?
It started at 6 am, and it didn't start well. (How can anything start well at 6 am, right?) I dragged myself to the fridge to grab my full throttle energy drink and discovered that I was all out. Now, this is a really bad thing for a night owl who's only had 5 hours of sleep. Can someone please kick start my heart?
Stopped of at my favorite gas station on the way to the office to grab one and....they were all out. Nice.
8 am sales meeting
9-12 caravanned new listings.
12-1 grabbed a cheeseburger to eat while driving to meet a new client and show houses.
2pm - Back in the office to fill out a listing package.
3pm - Drove to pick up signs off sold listing on the way to my new listing.
4pm - Listed a house
6:30pm - met clients to write an offer, and the entire town lost Internet service before I could submit it.
-Sheer frustration!!!!!
7:30pm - client has me come to his office to write the offer, because they have a different Internet provider.
-Sheer Joy!!!!!
8:30pm - Writing this lovely blog post.
And then, I still have about 4 more hours of writing ad copy, answering e-mails, and sending out listings.
At some point I have to fit in food and a shower.
Oh, and sleep. Sleep would be good......so I can get up tomorrow and do it all over again.
I bought 8 energy drinks tonight....just in case.
