Yes, I'm Working on the Holiday Weekend.
It might surprise you to learn that I didn't take a single day off over this long holiday weekend.
I had open house today, even though almost nobody else did. All total, there were only 4 open houses in Cookeville today. I didn't have a lot of traffic, but I had some. In fact, I think the people who came were serious buyers. It only takes one serious buyer to make the open house worth it.
This evening one of my favorite clients e-mailed and asked if I had time to show him a house tomorrow. Absolutely! For my loyal clients, I will move mountains.
So, why am working when almost every other agent in town is at the lake having fun?
Well, real estate is hopping in my world. I'm making hay while the sun is shining. I'm on a roll, and not about to risk taking a day off and loosing momentum. I'm almost a little superstitious about it.
Maybe when the cold winter blues roll in, I'll take some well deserved time off. Until then, I'll be hard at it while everyone else is having fun.
