Are you ready for Realtors over the Holiday week?

As Thanksgiving approaches, we are all busy preparing for the traditional feast.  You may also be busy planning for the arrival of guests.

If you have your home on the market over the holidays, there's another type of guest you should be prepared for: The Realtors.  While most people are gearing down for some relaxation with family and friends, many Realtors are gearing up for a busy week of showing homes to out-of-state buyers.

That's right folks, many buyers from other states use the holiday week to look for that perfect house. If you have your house on the market, you may very well have lots of showings in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.  Give some thought now to what you will do if someone asks to view your house the day before Thanksgiving.  Buyers from out of town will likely have a limited time frame, and they won't be able to come back next week.

Perhaps you and your guests can take a walk around the neighborhood or visit a nearby coffee shop in the event of a showing. Having a contingency plan in place can make a showing during the holidays much less stressful.

The chances of a showing in the next few days are very good.

Doubtful?

I will personally be showing houses every single day from now until Thanksgiving. If you live here in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee, I might even be showing your house.  :)
